JUDITH ANN DINGUS COE, beloved wife of Richard Lawrence Coe, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015, after a prolonged illness. Judy was born on September 19, 1944, in El Paso, El Paso County, TX, to Lt. Col. (USAF, Ret) Hubert Randall and Edith Sylvia Mosier Dingus.

At the age of ten years old, Judy showed an early glimpse into what would be a lifelong acumen, intelligence and wisdom while navigating the journey from Kingsport, TN, to San Francisco, CA, as the family traveled through harsh winter weather to meet their father and husband recently stationed in Tokyo, Japan. In later years her children and grandchildren would have many laughs listening to Judy and her siblings sing the official song of Tokyo's Yoyogi Elementary School.

While living at Edwards Air Force Base in southern California, Judy met a young Airman named Richard. Their 51 year marriage (Nov. 16, 1963, Kern County, CA) started with "the right stuff" with a wedding attended by a host of test pilots and early astronauts and music at the reception performed by Danny Thomas.

Judy spent years raising two strong independent children and volunteering time at her church and other community centers. Judy was an avid reader, crossword aficionado, and family historian, who was active in her children's and family's lives. Judy was also a fan of University of Louisville athletics after both her children graduated from the school. She particularly loved watching Louisville basketball.

Loved by many, admired by all she will be greatly missed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Richard of Tullahoma, TN, daughter Jennifer Coe of Louisville, KY, son Christopher (Suzanne Terese Ecklund) Coe and grandchildren Katy and Landon Coe of Tullahoma, sister Sherry (Earl) Schneider of Spring Hill, TN, and brother Michael (Patty) Dingus of Bluffton, SC. Judy also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma, TN, Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the service following. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the First Presbyterian Youth Group, 204 East Grundy Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
