Veteran WWII Royal Canadian Air Force. Past President of Ladies Auxiliary (Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 436. Deep River), and active Community Volunteer. At Pembroke on Friday, March 8, 2002. Beatrice McDowell age 80 years. Beloved wife of the late James M. Parr. Loving mother of Judi Crawford-Parr of Calgary, and Alan Parr of Deep River. Dear sister of Dorothy McKinstry of Peterborough. Predeceased by daughter Jackie Parr, sisters Marjorie Skinner and Madeline McKnight, and brother Edward McDowell. By request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Donations to the Lung Association would be gratefully appreciated. The family is particularly grateful to Dr. Rosemary Christinck and the management and staff of the Pembroke Heritage Manor. All of them went out of their way to provide dignity and peace to Mom in her last days. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home. Deep River. The Ottawa Citizen, 09-03-2002
