SGM (Retired) Gary Orlando Amos, 72, of Radcliff, KY passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Radcliff, KY.
Mr. Amos was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY where he served as a deacon. He was retired from the United States Army and also retired from the US Postal Service, Vine Grove, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, MSG (Retired) Orlando James Amos.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 53 years, Betty Amos of Radcliff, KY; three children, Terry Henning of Vermont, Eddie Amos of Vine Grove, KY, Michael Amos & his wife, Deanna of Louisville, KY; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Lindsey, Alex, Alyssa, Josh, Sydney, Terry, Gunner, Behr; two great grandchildren, Sammy, Thea; his mother, Ernestine Amos of Vine Grove, KY; one brother, Keith Amos & his wife, Lemoine of Florida; one aunt, Wanda Jackson of Glasgow, KY and a host of family & friends.
Mr. Amos's funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY with Dr. R. Shawn Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY with the United States Army rendering military honors.
