Karen L. Richardson, age 72, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital.
Karen was born in 1942 to Eugene and Dorothy Krause in Milwaukee, WI, where she also grew up and graduated from high school. She moved to Grand Rapids, MN in 1966 and worked as a legal secretary for Nyberg Law Office for over 30 years. Karen was united in marriage to Melvin “Bud” Richardson on May 22, 1982 in Bovey, MN.
She enjoyed playing poker, going to the casino, shopping and taking care of her dogs. But most of all, Karen loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren!
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Karen is survived by her husband, Melvin “Bud”; three daughters: Jill (Harry) Aultman, Julie Wilson and Vicki (Darrin) Johnson; three sons: Jay Parkinen, Jeff (Kelly) Parkinen, and Jason (Missy) Richardson; one sister, Kim Krause; two brothers: Kurth (Sue) Krause and Kirby (Lolly) Krause; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Joanne Bymark.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, MN.
