Wreatha E. Cantrell, 71, of Delphi, passed away, July 21, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born April 8, 1939, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late George Smith and Edna Lilly Christian.

In 1983, in Monon,she married Richard Hunt, who preceded her in death.

On April 11, 2000, in Delphi, she married Jim E. Cantrell, who survives.

Mrs. Cantrell was a 1957 graduate of Battle Ground High School.

She was employed at ARA Cafeteria, managing the restaurants at State Farm and Lafayette Life for many years. She was also a homemaker.

Mrs. Cantrell was a member of the Delphi VFW Auxiliary and the Delphi American Legion Auxiliary.

She enjoyed photography, collecting angel figurines, and cooking. She dearly loved her family.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Darlene A. Sanders (husband: Greg) of Star City; two sons, William “Bill” McGill (wife: Jean) of Hubert, N.C., and Robert “Bob” McGill of Lafayette; three stepdaughters, Kathy Henry (husband: Caleb) of Shorewood, Ill., Jane E. Johnson of Joliet, Ill. and Dorothea L. Mills of Belleview, Fla.; a stepson, JD Cantrell (wife: Connie) of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepbrothers, John Smith of Lafayette and Fred Smith (wife: Cindy) of Monticello; a stepsister, Nancy and Ken of Monticello; nine grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and ten step great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a son, Homer; a grandson, Billy; two brothers and one sister.

Services were held at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, Indiana.
