Annie Laura Smith, age 78, passed away July 5, 2006, in Niceville, Fla.

She was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Freeport, Fla., to Perry and Bertha Infinger Fannin. Mrs. Smith lived most of her life in Freeport. She was Methodist by faith and a member of the Black Creek Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and fishing, and above all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her father and mother Perry and Bertha Fannin,brothers Robert Fannin, JC Fannin, WC Fannin and Guy Fannin her ex-husband Barney Smith; ex-husband John W. Rowles, one son Roger Winston Rowles; and one son-in-law Billy W.Fannin.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her two sons, William Burton (Billy) Rowles of Freeport, and Robert James Rowles of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., three daughters Barbara Ann Fannin of Freeport and Rebecca Lynn (Becky) Campbell and husband Danny of Ponce de Leon, and Rosemary Tighe and husband Don of Gas City, Ind.; three stepsons, Terry Smith and wife Melinda of Darlington, Steve Smith and wife Sandy of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and Wayne Smith of Darlington, eleven grandchildren, Roger Rowles Jr.,Crystal Rowles, Robby Rowles, Christa Akers, David Fannin, Sharon Fannin Vaughn,Mae Campbell, Waylon Campbell, Amanda Campbell, David Pyle and Dennis Pyle; six step grandchildren, Kaycee Smith, Kelly Smith, Hannah Smith, Emily Smith, Nathan Smith, Hailey Smith and Timothy Smith; 15 great grandchildren, Bryce Rowles, Matthew McKenny, Ashley Fannin, Sarah Vaughn, Kristen, Marcus, Danny, Miguel Garcia, Malacie Campbell, Marissa Campbell, Nathan Pyle, Cassie Pyle, Devin Pyle and Melody Pyle; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jayonna and Nakiya.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home in Freeport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home with the Revs. David Wilson and Terry Smith officiating.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.

Burial will be in the Black Creek Cemetery.
