Billy Eugene Stafford

Mr. Billy Eugene Stafford, 80, of Oakridge Drive, Cartersville, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Stafford was born in Canton, Georgia January 30, 1935, son of the late Alvis Ellis “Ab” Stafford and Frances “Fannie” McPherson Stafford. Mr. Stafford was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville and a retired truck driver from Fulton Concrete. Many people referred to him as the “Milk Man” from driving the Atlanta Dairy truck, and he also worked and drove for the Coca-Cola Company. He enjoyed reading, going to car shows and farm shows, but most loved being with his grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Milford Stafford; brother, William Cicero Stafford; and son-in-law, Steve R. Henson.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Vanessa and Jimmy Garland of Booneville, KY and Dana Henson of Cartersville; two grandsons, Billy and Samantha Garland and Todd and Nicole Henson; four great-grandchildren, Lucy and Jackson Garland and Tatum and Tinley Henson; sisters, Wilma Holcomb of Ball Ground, Willene Puckett of Cumming, Doris and Wayne Davis of Ellijay, Mary Ann Stafford of Talking Rock, and Sue and David Ledford of Canton; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Garland officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Steve Quick, Wayne Quick, Kenneth Quick, Phillip Holcomb, Ed Carver, and Jeff Sharpton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
