BILLY FRANK DOTSON

Billy Frank Dotson was born in Detroit, Texas on October 27, 1931 to Frank and Mattie Plant Dotson. Billy passed away at his home in Kaufman County on November 2, 2014. Billy moved to Paris, Texas in 1942. He married Lillie Bell Newsom in Blossom, Texas on January 12, 1949 and they moved to Dallas where they lived for thirty years. Billy moved to Canton, Texas and lived there for eleven years before moving to Kaufman County in 2006. Billy was a minister for fifty years before retiring from the ministry in 2006. He worked for Ace Hardware in Kaufman, Texas for several years and was a member of the Blackjack Missionary Baptist Church. Billy is survived by his wife: Lillie of Kaufman, son: Billy Dotson Jr. and his wife Brenda of Kaufman, daughters: Gwen Denbow and her husband Michael of Kaufman and Brenda Willis and her husband Clayton of Seagoville, sisters: Bobbie Delese of Eustace and Barbara Hegefeld of Forney, grandchildren: Scott Melton and wife Shantale, Angie Mackey and husband Ronnie, Michael Denbow and wife Christina, Brandi Boner and husband Joe, Jeremy Willis and wife Mary, Bud Dotson and Kim Boshart, Amber Shapiro and husband Adam and Billy Quay Lyles, great-grandchildren: Nicole, Christin, Tanner, McGuire, Chance, Maverick, Holli, Breanna, Kyler, Rylee, Colby, Jaxon and Tuff.
