Lucy Jane Eustace Dolan was the seventh child born to Earl Stanley Eustace and Sarah Tebo Eustace of Ipswich and was the wife of John Francis "Jack" Dolan, a veteran of both WWII and Korea and a longtime member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. In 1950, Lucy became the first female town clerk in the history of Ipswich, when her husband Jack was recalled to active duty with the US Navy. Much loved by her husband and family, Lucy passed away in September of 1996 at the age of 69.
