John Henry Andrews, of Clinton, died on July 2, 2015, at his home.

He was born in Clinton on June 19, 1918, the son of Horace and Julia (Champlin) Andrews.

Mr. Andrews graduated from Morgan High School in 1937. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army Combat Engineers in Europe. He was a lobsterman in Clinton for over 50 years. He was Morgan High Schools #1 Fan, and always supported the girl's teams. He was also an avid horseshoe player and a fan of the Giants and Yankees. He also sponsored a local softball team. He was a longtime member of the Elks, American Legion and VFW.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his son John W. Andrews of Clinton and his daughter Julia Gagnon of Deland, FL, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn, his son Thomas, and siblings Horace, Jr., and Muriel.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday July 5th from 3-5pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Indian River Cemetery, Clinton.
