Mrs. Debbie Phillips , 59 of Snyder,TX went home to be home with the Lord with her family by her side on Sunday, July 05, 2015 in Lubbock.

There will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Phillips. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist with Rev. Craig Curry officiating and Rev. Dave Blackwell assisting. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips was born on June 12, 1956 in Abilene, TX to Richard and Peggy (Schlueter) Payne. She married Al Phillips on June 16, 1979 in Clovis, New Mexico . She graduated Abilene Cooper in 1974 and Angelo State University in 1980. While teaching in Coahoma from '81-88 and Forsan from 88-92, she received her Masters Degree from Sul Ross University in '93. She was a counselor for Snyder Independent School District where she retired in 2009 after 16 yrs. She enjoyed traveling to many places. Some of her favorites were the Canadian Rockies & her recent travels to Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park in Utah, and most recently Alaska, where she & Al celebrated their anniversary. Their home away from home during summer months was having time in their RV in Mayhill, NM. Mrs. Phillips' absolute favorite pasttime was spending time with her family.

She was a loving wife, mother and Dee Dee (grandmother.)

She is survived by Husband: Al Phillips , Snyder , TX 1) Daughter: Kayla Hindes and husband Nicholas , Abilene, TX 1)Son: Justin Phillips and wife Lacy, Lubbock , TX 2)Grand Children: Kynlee and Knox Phillips Her father Richard Payne , Anson, TX 1) Sister: Diana Cutshaw, Carrolton, TX

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Payne and brother, David Payne

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6PM to 7PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
