William Clair Pemberton, 98, of South Bend passed died Monday, July 6th at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Pemberton was born August 10, 1916 in Kill Buck, NY and had lived in South Bend since 2005. Bill retired as the owner of Wilderness Log Homes.

He is survived by his children, Hope M. Onash (Thomas) of Liles, TN, William D. Pemberton (Laura) of Mishawaka, and John K. Pemberton (Bobbie) of Westmont, IL; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leila, daughter, Patricia A. Turner and three siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11th. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery Somonauk, IL.
