Lilla Mary Stalnaker, 95, passed away on July 5, 2015. She was an original member of the Sopchoppy Baptist Church, now known as the Sopchoppy United Methodist Church. Lilla was involved with the nursery school program through the National Youth Administration. She also helped with the Wakulla Senior Center's Meals on Wheels Program, was a caregiver and attended cosmetology school in Ocala, FL. She worked at Camp Gordon Johnston for 4 years and was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She is survived by one sister, Lottie Idoma Stalnaker-Roddenberry; two nieces, Linda Lumley and Nell Benedict and two nephews, David and Robert Roddenberry.
She is predeceased by one brother, Argus Milledge Stalnaker, Jr., one sister, Emma Mae Stalnaker Mathers and one nephew, Bronson Mathers.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm at Sopchoppy United Methodist Church in Sopchoppy, FL on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Services will be held at 3:00 pm with burial immediately following at West Sopchoppy Cemetery.
