Edith was born March 13, 1907, in Brigham City,
Utah, the 9th of 14 children to William and Caroline Wight Pulsipher. She married Andrew D. Pathakis (Andy the Baker) on September 26, 1928, in Pocatello, Idaho. Andy preceded her in death.
Edith was loved by all and touched the lives of many. She worked with her husband in their bakery (Liberty Bakery) in Brigham City, and upon moving to Salt Lake City, she worked until retirement at ZCMI. She sincerely enjoyed working with people and was well remembered by many.
She loved her brothers and sisters and tried her best to keep in contact with them and remember the happy times they had together. She regretted being "the last Pulsipher," feeling her younger brothers and sisters should have had that honor.
She is survived by her daughter, ReNae (Kent) Knudson, a son, Ted (Carlene) Pathakis, and daughter-in-law, Karma L. Pathakis all of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, a son, Andrew Dean Pathakis, a grandson, Richard Wayne Pathakis and 13 brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 12 Noon at the Gillies Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
