Funeral services for Mable Harris Green Davis, age 84 of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Clayton Lee, Jr. and Bro. Jim Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Algood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, July 11th from 5:00-9:00PM and Sunday, July 12th after 7:00AM.
Mrs. Davis passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the NHC of Cookeville. Mable Harris Green Davis was born on November 15, 1930 in Overton County, TN to the late Ed and Martha (Hargis) Harris. She worked for Red Kap Industries and attended Trinity & Church on the Hill. Mable did volunteer work with the Algood Senior Citizens, RSVP for 23 years, Quiltshow, Ceramic Room, Senior Center, Center Helper, and church worker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st Husband: Leelen Green; 2nd Husband of 30 years: Willie Davis; Daughter: Joyce Ann, Son: Ronnie “Ranger” Dewayne, Daughter: Mary Magdeline, and Brother: Arlow “ Red” Harris.
Her Survivors Include:
