RONNIE HAROLD HOWARD, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the age of 68. He was a kind, gentle, gracious, and generous man who was loved by many, and he will be dearly missed.

Ronnie was born on November 4th, 1946, in Nocona, Texas, the third of four children born to Jody and Bette (Norris) Howard. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1965, and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1969. He went on to become a district salesman for Nalco Chemical Company in Hobbs, NM from 1972 until 1975, when he was severely injured in an automobile accident. He later held many positions for Nalco, including warehouse supervisor in Midland, TX, and various marketing positions in Sugar Land, until his retirement from the company in 2003.

Ronnie was a loving husband and father, and some of his favorite things to do were watching golf, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, playing cards and dominos, and especially playing with his grandchildren. He was a treasure and inspiration to all who knew him.

Ronnie married Sandra Louise King in 1967, and the two were married for 47 years, raising two children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jody and Bette Howard.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Jeff and his wife Krista... ; daughter, Jennifer Howard Kicinski and her husband Kristian... ; and four granddaughters, Kyla and Kadey Howard, and Eva and Lucy Kicinski. Ronnie is also survived by two brothers, Dan Howard... , and Ed Howard of ... ; one sister, Janie (Howard) Swinney... ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family requests that memorial donations in Ronnie’s memory be made to one of the following organizations: Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Wounded Warrior Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America, or to Sugar Land First United Methodist Church.
