OBITUARY: Edward C. (Ted) McDowell, owner of MPW Stock Farms on the fourth line of Cavan, died suddenly at his home last Thursday (March 10 1983).

Mr. McDowell was born in Millbrook August 15, 1924, and lived all his life in the area. An active member of the community, he was a director, past president and honorary life member of the Millbrook Fair Board.

He had been a member of the Eastern Ontario Aberdeen Angus Association for the past 40 years and was a director and past president of that organization. He served with other area agricultural organizations as well. He had also been active in sports, playing and coaching hockey and baseball.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jane Farr, one daughter, Mrs. David Finney (Anne) of Omemee and two sons, Rodd of Millbrook and Brian of Toledo, Ohio.

He is also survived by nine grand children and four sisters.
Funeral services were held Sunday at St. Andrew's United Church, Millbrook with Canon Walter Dyer officiating.
