Colene graduated from Mound City High School in 1938, and on July 3 of that same year married Granville J. White in Troy, Kansas.
Colene passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 in St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 94.
Also preceded her in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Glen and J. Jesse “Jay” Yount; sister, Marjorie Crist; and grandson, Jeffrey Stephen White.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Lela White of Las Vegas, Nevada and S. Douglas and Trula White of Mound City, Missouri; sister, Virginia Long of Mound City; brother, Samuel Yount of Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jeff, Colby, Gregory, and Jason White, and Tiffany Lewis; five great grandchildren, Jade Gebhards, Emma White, Addison and Riley Lewis, and Cole White; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery.
