William Buice (II) was born the son of William (Billy) Buice (1804 Spartanburg, S.C. to 1887 Forsyth, Ga.) and Mary Ann Mathis Buice (1804 Spartanburg, S.C. to 1887 Forsythia, Ga.) . William II married 1854 to Adaline Webb and married 7 Oct 1894 to Matilda F. Webb. (2nd Sgt. - 3rd Lt.) Joined the Confederate Army company H, 2nd Georgia Cavalry on 20 Apr 1862, Atlanta, Georgia and served as a 2nd Sergeant and 3rd Lieutenant in the Civil War. He served with his brother Samuel D. Buice in the same unit.
William was the grandson of David Buice (1779 NC – 1854) and Martha Griffin (1779 Va. – 1853 Pontotoc, Miss.).
