Richard Wayne Covington, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at his home.
A memorial service was held Feb 6 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. burial was at the family grave site.
Wayne was born on June 16, 1947 to James William and Marion Rebecca Lee.
He was an Air Force veteran and a skilled carpenter.
Surviving are wife, Faye Sharpe Covington of the home; sons, Jeff Covington of Lexington, Andy Covington of Greensboro, Brad Covington of Randleman; daughter, Melissa Covington of Burlington; brothers, Robert Covington of Orange, Texas, Milton Covington of Gibsonville; sister, Linda Adams of Raleigh; four granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamance and Caswell Counties.
