"Bertha M. Morris, 90, went home to be with her Lord Jesus July 22, 2012.

She was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Spokane to Edward and Freida [Frieda] (Von Manteuffel) Van Vleet.

In January of 1975, she went to New Guinea to serve as a missionary support worker for Wycliff Bible Translators. She married David Morris in September of that year in Papua, New Guinea. They returned to David's home country of Australia, where they lived and served the Lord for 25 years. They worked with Teen Challenge and attended Living Word Assembly of God Church.
