Son of Rev. Eli & Georgiana (Leach) Hubbard
Married Florence G Ives in 1873
Education - Local public school, Wilbraham Acadeny,
Wesleyan College where he won his Master of Arts degree,
Prepared for the bar at Albany Law School at Albany, NY
where he graducated in 1870.
Upon graduating he moved to Wallingford, CT where he
continued his law readings under the Hon. Charles Ives of
New Haven. He practiced in partnership with Morris Tyler
from 1874-1877, and was later associated with John W. Alling
& E.P. Arvine.
1881 Elected Directorate of the First National Bank of
Wallingford, CT, and for many years served as Vice President.
1884 Director of the Dimes Savings Bank of Wallingford, CT
until his death. Vice President 1890-1894 and then elected
President until his death.
One of the Incorporators of the Wallingford Gas Light Co,
and a director until his resignation in 1899.
1872 was appointed Post Master of Wallingford by President
Grant served until 1885.
1878-1881 Justice of the Peace
1881 Elected a Trustee of the Wesleyan Academy of Wilbraham
MA serving until his death.
After 1870 he was appointed Borough Attorney & Councel until
1886 when he was appointed the position of Judge until 1897.
1897 Elected Judge to the Common Pleas Bench New Haven County until 1905.
1886 Nominated by the Republican Party for Secretary of
State, during his term he prepared and published the first
comprehensive "Register & Manual" for the State of Conn.
