After serving in the US Army in WW II Ed moved to Fresno, California where he resided for the remainder of his life. He worked for The City of Fresno as a surveyor and later for The County of Fresno in the Building Permit department. After his retirement, he worked for the corporate office of a restaurant chain in the acquisition of property for new restaurants.
He was a member of Las Palmas Masonic Lodge No. 366 and served as its Master in 1964.
