A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Enda McKenna officiating.
Music during the mass was provided by a Spanish choir.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where visitation was held Sunday evening, Nov. 1, and Deacon Francisco De La Torre led a vigil service.
Perez was born Nov. 22, 1962, in Francisco Madero, Durango, Mexico, the son of Jorge Perez and Elvira Rubio Perez. He married Juanita Del Fierro on Feb. 20, 1993, in Fredericksburg and she survives.
He had been employed by Opa's Smoked Meat in Fredericksburg.
In addition to his wife, Perez is survived by one son and three daughters, including Jorge Perez Jr., Jouan Perez and Julissa Jezel Perez, all of Fredericksburg, and Rebecca Perez of Mexico.
Also surviving are three grandchildren; three sisters: Irma Perez of Mexico, Beatrice Sanchez of Marble Falls and Jaime Perez of Fredericksburg, and a brother, Rayo Perez of Mexico.
Pallbearers included Jorge Perez Jr., Jose Omar Sanchez, Aurelo Berumen, Jose Ruben Carrazco, Hector Del Fierro, Hector Carlos Del Fierro, Mayolo Albiter and Benito DeLeon.
