She was married to Walter Ferrell Burford (1882-1944), the son of Daniel J Burford (ca 1848- ) and Martha Ann "Mattie" (Harris) Burford (ca 1851- ).
Living on Huffine Street in rural Nashville, Mary was 59 years old and married when she died at home of malignant melanoma on October 16, 1947. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery in the city of Madison, Tennessee.
