Obituary of Paul J. Bearer
BEARER Paul J., 79, of Ebensburg, passed away December 19, 2013 at home. Born February 14, 1934 in Ebensburg, son of the late Clair A and Regina Jean (Buck) Bearer. He is preceded in death by his infant sister Marian, and niece Dr. Elizabeth Bearer. Survived by brothers: Clair A (Ethel) Bearer, of Kentucky; Eugene F. Bearer, Ebensburg; and twin, Sr. Ruth Bearer, C.S.J., Baden, Pa. Also nieces and nephew Patricia Bearer, New Hope, Pa; Connie Bearer, Ebensburg; and Eugene M. Bearer, of Duncansville. Paul was a lifelong member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church. A Korean War Army veteran, he had served in Germany. He retired as a type setter for the former Thompson s Printing Company and the Mountaineer Herald. Paul was a kind man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, his family, his country and his flag. At his request, no visitation or viewing. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent Chapel, Baden, Pa. Interment at St. Benedict s Cemetery, Carrolltown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul s memory to the Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 1020 State Street, Baden, Pa 15005. Arrangements are in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
