Obit: William Wilson Merrill, age 67, died at 1:50 p.m., Thursday, at Hershey hospital following a short illness. A former resident of Belle Fourche, S.D., Mr. Merrill has resided in Muscatine for the past 15 years. He was employed as a button machine operator. The son of Isaac W. and Margaret Lochridge Merrill, he was born in Dubuque, Feb. 23, 1884. He married Gertrude Brawner, Dec. 31, 1913, in Iowa City and she survives along with one son, Harlen J. Merrill, Muscatine, and two daughters, Mrs. Harold Leedy, Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs. Cleo Brown of Muscatine; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Cooley and Mrs. Minnie Bailey of Owosso, Mich., and eight grandchildren. The body is at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Dr. Claude Cooper, pastor of the First Me thodist church will be in charge. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery in Cedar county.
