Russell Allen Williamson

Everything changed in our lives on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, when Russell Allen Williamson passed away unexpectedly.
He was a resident of Pensacola, Fla. Russell was born in Lake Benton Harbor, Mich., on March 11, 1957, to the Clyde and Irene Williamson. Russell moved to Pensacola in the 1980s to start a new journey in life including his own business, Preferred Painting and Drywall, which he maintained up to his passing.
At a very young age Russell had a passion for weight training that he maintained throughout his life. He loved riding his motorcycle and traveling in the fall to the Smokey Mountains. He loved to talk to anyone about everything. No one was a stranger to him. Russell was a kindhearted, caring, sentimental soul. He was blessed with much friendship. Russ loved music and he loved to sing, showing off his deep baritone voice singing Barry White, Josh Corbin, some Elvis and much more.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene (Johnson) Williamson; brother, Jon Williamson; and sister, Dianna Williamson.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Tarina Macias, and her family, of Pensacola; as well as his father, Clyde Williamson, of Keeler, Mich.; sister, Gayle Bisnett, and brother-in-law, Gar Bisnett, of Keeler, Mich.; nephew, Philip Gunther of Lincoln, Neb.; niece, Lesa Pratt St. Joseph, Mich.; and nephew, Jason Williamson of Hartford, Mich.

Russell also had three cats that he loved dearly, Jackie-Blue, Gracie and Pita.

Russ will be dearly missed by family and the many friends he made over the years, including Barbara Olson, Marty Chapman and Jeff Sorrels. He was a longtime friend of Bill W., and will be missed greatly by his friends at Courage at Noon.

Private memorial services will be held with close family and friends to celebrate his life at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 31 E. Wright St., Pensacola.
