Georgia E. Brierley, 86, of Ridge Farm died at 10:56 a.m. Saturday (July 4, 2015) at North Logan Healthcare Center, Danville.
Georgia was born June 19, 1929 in Bourbon County, Kentucky to James and Elzyra Risen Rison. She married John W. Brierley on April 21, 1947 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death March 26, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, Mary Ann Brierley; one son, Paul Brierley; two sisters, Evia Henthorn and Mildred Schultz; one infant brother, Carol Rison and one great-grandson.
Surviving are two sons, John (Karen) Brierley and James Brierley; two daughters, Yvonne (Terry) Sherman and Wanda (Denis) Schmit; three brothers, Garnett (Becky) Rison, James (Becka) Rison and Albert (Lila) Rison; two sisters, Jereine Dukes and Mary Hutchenson; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Georgia worked for many years as a factory worker and at CRIS Healthy Aging Center in Georgetown.
