Leland M. Wright, 77, of 15 Bigelow Gardens died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 in Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston, after a long illness.


He is survived by two sisters, Violet M. Lipscomb of Fitchburg and Mildred McNeil of Millbury; two step-sisters, Sandra Venezinno of Meriden, CT and Linda Wilson of Lancaster and Canada. A sister, Lillian Blood of Hubbardston predeceased him.


He was born in Berlin, the son of Maurice O. and Bessie L. (Arthur) Wright and lived there for many years before moving to S. Lancaster.


He was employed in both the agricultural and construction industries for many years.


He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the American Legion.


Leland enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and yard sales.


A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 11:30 AM in McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Berlin. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 - 11:30 AM in the funeral home, prior to the service.
