Delaware Momm1 USNR World War II

George served as a Motor Machinist's Mate First Class on the U.S.S. Orestes during World War II. He resided in New Castle County, Delaware prior to the war. He was "Killed In Action" along with 45 other shipmates when the Orestes was struck by a Japanese "Vat" bomber amidship during the war.
