FRANKS, Patricia Anne - Left us quietly on Wed., April 27th [2005] when she passed away peacefully in her San Francisco home. Born of Edward and Nell Fitzpatrick on September 1, 1928 in Iowa, the youngest of eight children. She is survived by her brother, Gene of Ansonia, CT. It was in Santa Cruz where she met the love of her life, Stephen R. Franks. Their blissful marriage of 47 years was full of special times, fond memories and blessed with seven wonderful children. Patricia inspired many of the people whose lives she touched. She will be deeply and sorely missed by all. Especially grieved are her husband; seven children and their spouses: Cindy and Jack Forbes, Judy and Jim Forbes, Bob and Sandy-Jo Franks, Mike Franks, Jeff and Barbara Franks, Mary and Chris Golden, and Susan and Patrick McHale; her beloved grandchildren on whom she doted: Jaime, Jennifer, Joseph, Kelly, Patricia, Jack, Christopher, Sam, Macauley, Ryan, Elizabeth, Nathan, Ellen, Keven, Maggie, Clare and Kathleen. Patricia was a devoted Catholic; a staunch democrat; loving wife, mother and grandmother; welcoming friend and caring neighbor. She had a glow and inner warmth about her that leaves the world diminished. She was cherished. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday from 3-9pm with a Vigil at 7pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., D.C. The Funeral Mass will be said on Monday at 10am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 3240 Lawton St, S.F. Committal at Holy Cross. Donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
