June G. Ford, 98, of Momence, IL, died on Friday, June 30, 2017 at her residence in Momence, IL. She was born on June 1, 1919, in Momence, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Alphonsine Purkey Prairie. She married Allen James Ford on June 26, 1938, in Momence, IL. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Rome, of Momence, IL. Two sons and daughters-in-law; Robert and Mary Ann Ford of Momence, IL, and Bill and Virginia Ford of Momence, IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law; Helen Prairie and Marie Prairie of Clifton also survive, as do many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Momence, IL. She enjoyed crocheting and watching her
grandchildren’s sports activities.
VISITATION: July 3: 9 - 11 am at Cotter Funeral Home, 224 E. Washington St., Momence.
FUNERAL SERVICES: July 3: 11 am at Cotter Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Brown will officiate.
MOMENCE CEMETERY: 10050 E. 4000 N. Rd., Momence, IL.
