Grace Gaye Slauson Rukwid, 80, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Marion Pickett Slauson. Mrs. Rukwid attended Bethlehem Central School, was a homemaker and a member for many years of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was the wife of the late Edmund J. Rukwid Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Dennin and her partner Edie Eyres of Delmar; a granddaughter, Erin (Andrew) Zampariolo of Albany; a grandson, Matthew (Mi Young) Dennin of S. Korea; and four great-grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Sophie and Orion. Mrs. Rukwid was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Mathews. Thank You to all the family members and friends who provided support during her long illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Norman E. Dascher Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany on Monday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont.
