Olive Rose (Agee) Caviness, 76, of Eldon, passed away June 26 at Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Born in Etterville, Missouri July 27, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Vernon) Agee.

Survivors include her son, David Benne, Sr. (Bertha) of Fort Smith, AR; a grandson, Davy Benne, Jr., of Fayetteville, AR; a granddaughter, Chantel Kempker of Eldon, MO; sisters, Norma Hickok (George) of Paso Robles, CA, Lola Hayes (Karl) of Eldon, MO; a brother, Donald Agee (Jean) of Belleville, IL and her former husband, Richard (Dick) Caviness.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Tim Benne and Ritchie Caviness, Jr.; one brother, Tom Agee; her first husband Vernon (Dave) Benne.

Olive graduated from Eldon High School in 1956, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for several years.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon followed by burial in Eldon City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Eldon, 209 S. Aurora St., Eldon, MO 65026 in her memory.
