MORGANTOWN — Troy Maurice Willis, 79, of Cromwell, died May 12, 2011, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.

The Butler County native was a retired painter and pastor of Southland Baptist Temple. He was a son of the late Aubrey Willis and Nellie Daugherty Willis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Gayle.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church in Beaver Dam, where he was a member, with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Cromwell. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home and begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Willis; three daughters, Shelia Willis of Calvert City, Debbie Jones of Benton and Sherry Halcomb and her husband, Jimmy, of Grand Rivers; five sons, Steve Willis of Centertown, Terry Willis of Smithland, Michael Willis and his wife, Maria, of Calvert City, Joshua Willis of Roundhill and Matthew Willis of Cromwell; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three half sisters, Sharon Stone of Owensboro, Sue Gamble of Alabama and Joann Douglas of McHenry; and a stepmother, Delpha Willis of Beaver Dam.
