Convicted of First Degree Murder in Tulsa Co., OK, and 34 years after the 1978 death of Sun "Kim" Travis, Anthony Banks was put to death. DNA evidence proved Banks and co-defendant Allen Wayne Nelson were guilty of Travis' death. Banks was already serving a life sentence for killing David Paul Fremin. His brother, Walter Thomas Banks, was jointly charged in Fremin's death, and was sentenced to life in prison. In his last words before execution, he admitted and apologized for the terrible things he had done, also saying "This is justified".
