Initially, it was stated that she was born in 1772, but her tombstone, places her birth in 1769, dying at the age of 42. Her tombstone inscription stated: "Memory of Abigail wife of Ezekiel Scofield who died Dec. 5, 1811, in the 42nd year of her age."
Her whole life appears to have been in and around Stamford. She married Ezekiel Scofield on 21 Dec 1793 in Stamford. They were distant cousins, both desc. from Daniel and Abigail Merwin Scofield of Stamford.
