Franch Gamble of Brodhead, died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center at the age of 71.

He was a coal miner and a factory laborer.

He was survived by his wife, Rosa Lee (Combs) Gamble (married January 1976); his children, Betty Payton of Avilla, Indiana, Bertha McCosh, Andy Gamble, and Georgenola Cayson, all of Garrett, Indiana, Emma Hatter and Alma Frost, both of Corunna, Indiana, Johnny Gamble, Charles Gamble, Edward Gamble and Carolyn Sue Gamble, all of Brodhead, and Eva McClelland of Syracuse, Indiana; his brothers, Walter Gamble and Carlos Gamble, both of Eubank, Farris Gamble of Kendallville, Indiana, Laws Gamble, and Adam Gamble, both of Corunna, Indiana, and Pate Gamble of Hazard; his sisters, Ruth Goff of Woodstock and Blanche Tucker of Dayton, Ohio; 29 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Gamble and Nancy (Fuller) Gamble.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 28, 1976 at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Brother Jack Davidson officiating.
