A memorial graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating.
Mr. Almond was born in Cherokee County on September 11, 1945 to the late William Jack Almond and Laura Bryson Almond. He was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church and was owner and operator of I-85 Vending.
