MACKINAW - (PNS) - Mrs. Mary Belle Doane, 71, lifelong resident of this community, died in her home here at 5 p.m. Monday, following a paralytic stroke suffered several days ago. She had been in ill health more than a year.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian church, of which she had been a member since young womanhood. The Rev. A. L. Bradbury will officiate. Burial will be in the Bergen cemetery. Friends may call at the Haensel funeral home until the hour of service.

She was born in Mackinaw township, June 19, 1868, the daughter of Daniel and Fanny Lawrence.

She was married Aug. 25, 1889, at Mackinaw to Joseph A. Doane, who preceded her in death several years ago. To this union four daughters were born.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Dobson of Jefferson, Ia., one sister, Mrs. Margaret Hasty, also of Jefferson, Ia., five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
