Memorial services for Mr. Charles Rudolph Dew, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Provencal United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Paul Grace officiating. Interment will follow the service at Provencal Cemetery in Provencal, LA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Provencal United Pentecostal Church.

Charles was born on November 13, 1928, to Rufus and Belle Goins Dew, and passed from this life at 88 years of age on Monday, January 2, 2017. Charles was beloved by his family and friends. He filled many roles and held many titles: Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, servant, master gardener, and beloved friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Dew & Joseph and Belle Jackson of Hagewood; wife Betty Sue Wester Dew of Vichy, MO, and one daughter Charlotte Denise Dew also of Provencal.

He is survived by his son Dennis Wester Dew and wife Sherry Pynes Dew of Vowell's Mill, LA; four grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Dew and wife Rachel of Vichy, MO, Dexton Wade Dew of Vowell's Mill, LA, Alyse Jackson of Vowell's Mill, LA, and Alison Tedder and husband Joey of Hallsville, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Karsten, Kayden, and Kellen Dew of Vichy, MO, Logan and Lucas Dew of Robeline, LA, Maeley Dew of Hemphill, TX, and Emry Tedder or Hallsville, TX; as well as numerous cousins, and friends.

Those honored to be pallbearers will be Dexton Dew, Steven Orsborn, David Orsborn,
Heath Wester, Mike Cox, and Carson Custis. Ray Orsborn and Peyton Sparks will serve as honorary pallbearers.
