Mrs. Peter (Marie) Schmidt, 62, Hilbert, died August 11 at the Kaukauna Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born July 2, 1908, in the town of Harrison she was the daughter of the late Nick and Kathryn Schomisch.
On Oct. 8, 1929, she married Mr. Schmidt in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood.
The couple farmed south of Hilbert until 1959, when they moved to the village.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish, Hilbert, and its Christian Mothers Society.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Alice) Kolbe, R. 1, Hilbert; one sister, Mrs. Vincent Reinkober, Chilton; a brother, Irving Schomisch, Hilbert, and five grandchildren.
The requiem Mass was in St. Mary Church, Hilbert, with the Rev. Linus J. Speckbauer, Celebrant. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sherwood.
