Mary Anne Leto was born February 16, 1928 in Des Moines, IA to Ignazio and Josephine Collo Leto. She entered the Congregation of the Humility of Mary September 8, 1946 and professed vows July 19, 1949.

Her degrees are BA, Marycrest College, Davenport, IA and MSE, Drake University, Des Moines, IA.

She taught in Catholic elementary schools: Sacred Heart, St. Pius X, St. Anthony and All Saints in Des Moines; St. Mary, St. Joseph, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Alphonsus in Davenport and three schools in Montana.

She worked as nurse aide and in pastoral care at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center before she became Coordinator of Sisters' services from 2000-2009. She retired to Bishop Drumm in 2012 where she resided until her death.

Sister Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph and sisters, Frances Muller and Rosalie Caponigro. She is survived by brothers, John, Sam and Fr. Nelo Leto; numerous nieces and nephews and the Sisters and Associates of her CHM community.
