Died.
In this city, March 22d, 1858, Mrs. Lucretia Gregg Stapleford, wife of Mr. J.D. Stapleford.
A long and painful illness--Consumption--preceded her death. For years she had been a professed Christian, and member of the M.E. Church. As a member of society she was highly esteemed; as a Christian, was consistent in life. During the progress of her sickness, an uncomplaining resignation to Divine Providence was her constant state of mind. With calmness she bade her friends and earthly farewell, and with triumph passed to her rest. Faith in Christ had banished all fear of the grave.
Funeral services to be held in the M. E. Church, next Sabbath at 10:30 o'clock A.M.
