Randy T. Coleman, 41, of North Hollywood, California made his transition from earth to glory on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Randy was born December 5, 1973 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, Illinois to the union of Ronny and Velvin (Faye) Coleman. He was the eldest of their two sons. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Reverend Dillard. He loved his family, fishing, sports (UCLA Bruins, L.A Lakers and Dallas Cowboys) and traveling; Randy especially loved to play and coach basketball. Randy had a supreme joy being a Denver Sheriff Deputy from April, 1998-May, 2013 and also enjoyed coaching basketball with the Colorado Hawks and John F. Kennedy High School. Randy attended Waukegan grade schools and West High School (Raiders) until he moved to California where he graduated from Crespi High School in Encino, California. Upon graduation, Randy attended Fresno State University. Randy leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years Denice Coleman, 2 sons Alexander and Christopher Coleman, Parents Ronny (Vladek) Coleman and Faye (Al) Harper, 2 sisters Kendra Harper and Kelly (Richard) Harper-Allen, 2 brothers Ronny (Amelia) Coleman and Terry (Amy) Cooks, a grandmother Betty Williams, and a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Randy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Lorenza Yancey, paternal grandfather, Artie Ray Coleman, Aunt Joy Yancey, uncles Artis and Thomas Yancey and other family members in the Coleman family. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 11:00 a.m. following the Viewing at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, 2401 Argonne Drive, North Chicago, IL. Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
