He was a member of the Mindenmines Christian Church, and he served on the Mindenmines School Board. He was employed by the Kansas City Southern Railroad and self-employed as a trucking contractor. Everett was married to Irene Lucietta on January 7, 1939, at Lamar, Missouri. They had three children. A quiet man with an easy smile and quick wit, he was not only an asset to his community, but a loving, giving man, always ready to lend his time and a helping hand to his family and friends.
