Stanley B. Pierce, age 88, of Rice Lake, WI died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center.

He was born on October 13, 1926 in Watertown, NY to Harry and Gladys (Becker) Pierce. Stanley was drafted into the United States Navy and served during World War II and after he was honorably discharged he returned back to school and graduated from West Carthage Central High School in New York. He was married to Jeanne May on January 31, 1948 in Syracuse, NY. Stanley worked for over 35 years for the Saint Regis Paper Company in New York. They moved to Rice Lake in 1996.

Stanley was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed Genealogy, gardening and loved being with his family. He volunteered over 10 years at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center.

Stanley Pierce is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff & Josephine Pierce of Rice Lake, WI; 2 grandsons, Jared Pierce (Amber Crary) and Justin Pierce (Jessica Hansen and her son, Ezra). He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Pierce in 2003; and his parents, Harry and Gladys Pierce.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Fr. James Powers officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spooner, WI where Military Rites will be accorded by the Rice Lake Veterans Center Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM Wednesday and 9:30 - 10:30 AM Thursday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
