Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mund Nixon, 83, lifelong resident of the Hill Country, were held on Thursday morning, August 16 at 10:30 a.m., from the Harper Methodist Church, with the Rev. Willman, pastor of the Methodist Church at Art officiating. Burial was in the Harper Cemetery.
Mrs. Nixon succumbed Monday at a hospital in Corsicana. She had been in that city for three months, visiting a daughter.
Born March 27, 1862 at Cherry Springs, Mrs. Nixon spent her entire life in this section.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Bessie McDougal of Harper, Mrs. Clara Masters of Priddy, Mrs. Cora Harper of Dallas and Mrs. Myrtle Livingston of Corsicana; four sons, Lewis Nixon of Mason, Charles Nixon of Muskogee, Okla., Frank Nixon of Springfield, Ore., and Irving Nixon of Martindale; a sister Mrs. Alfred Sauer of Doss and one brother, Conrad Mund of Lockesburg, Ark. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
