Derrick Floyd Collins, 11 year old son of Junior and Linda Collins of Arco, died of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound Wed. evening at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
The accident occurred at the Collins home west of Arco.
He was born Nov. 22, 1976, at Arco.
Survivors include his parents, a brother Wade, and three sisters. Karleen, Debby, and Stephanie..Two grandmothers, Irene House and Leona Rumsey and a great-grandmother, Mell Matney.
His funeral was conducted Saturday in the Arco Baptist Community Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
